Q. Will any of the Dur-A-Shield line of products harm my landscape?
A. No. All of our products are environmentally safe.
Q. Will my Stucco still be able to breath?
A. Yes. Our Stucoo product DS1600 is permeable, meaning it breaths from the inside out.
Q. Will mold, mildew and fungus reappear on my Stucco?
A. The only place that could be a possible problem is where a plant or bushes come in contact with stucco. If this happens, a garden hose and dish detergent will take it right off.
Q. Will any overspray get on cars, etc?
A. Although we don't want cars parked nearby, all spray dissipates very quickly and will not travel.
Q. How are products applied?
A. All are sprayed on.
Q. Will this get on my windows/skylights?
A. No. All windows/skylights etc are covered with blue self adhesive plastic (low tact)
Q. How does the roof product protect my roof?
A. It provides a protective barrier by encapsulating the granules making them unable to dislodge thus protecting your roof from replacement. The mold, mildew and fungus will be washed off during rains because it is unable to root itself into the shingles due to the polymer protection.
Q. My roof is completely dirty and black maybe I should just get a new roof.
A. Although shingle manufacturers have started to add fungicides in the manufactering process it only lasts 2-3 years and then your roof will start this process all over again.
Q. When you walk on my Spanish tile roof I am very concerned about tiles breaking.
A. All of our men are properly trained on how to walk on tile roofs. If a tile should be broken during the process we take full responsibility.
Q. I am not sure if my roof is worth saving.
A. That is what our free inspection is for. If we determine that there is too much granule loss our product is not recommended.
Q. Is this good for new roofs?
A. This is great for new roofs; they will be Mold, Mildew and Fungus free for at least 10 years and your granules will be intact.
